A free and somewhat smaller alternative to Adobe Acrobat Reader
is Foxit Reader for Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7
which is only 12MB.
You may need to make one change to the Foxit software before
printing something from it. Click on the printer icon when
you have a document open then be sure to select "actual size"
in "Page Scaling". This will ensure that the overall page is not
reduced in size making it much easier to read.
